VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

There are many volunteer opportunities at Hopes Closet. You can help us provide a brighter future for children by giving us your time, expertise, talent, and treasure. Just a few hours a month can make a huge difference. Following are our volunteer opportunities:

• Center Service Volunteers – Help receive, sort, (clean if needed) clothes and other donated items; prepare Bundles of Hope packages for clients.
•  Store Volunteers – Skilled volunteers to help in our children’s store. 
• Donation  Volunteers – Help with driving, errands and other helpful tasks.
• Community Outreach Volunteers – Help promote and educate community groups, businesses and organizations and distribute marketing materials for upcoming events.
• Fundraising Volunteers – Help raise dollars on one of our fundraising events to support the mission and programs of Hopes Closet.
• Handy Men & Women/Maintenance Volunteers – Help with ongoing maintenance and light construction in our center and store.​
• Board Members – You may have interest in serving on the Governing Board. We are currently seeking board members with legal, human resource, commercial real estate, and banking expertise. Board members govern the organization in the following essential areas. 
  1. ​Hold “Fiduciary Responsibility” to ensure the financial stability and fiscal responsibility of Hopes Closet,
  2. Serve as an “Ambassador” by promoting the Hopes Closet mission and the importance of the organization whenever possible/appropriate, 
  3. Be a “Connector” by engaging personal and professional networks to support Hopes Closet mission,
  4. “Support Hopes Closet” by giving and getting contributions, and
  5. Ensure the long-term “Board Strength and Organizational Viability” with leadership succession planning and strategic governance.
